Welcome to My Buddy. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) explain how you may use the My Buddy mobile application (“App”, “My Buddy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading, accessing, or using My Buddy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What My Buddy Does
My Buddy is a personal reminder and memory helper app. It helps you save small things you do not want to forget, such as reminders, quick notes, item locations, useful information, voice-dumped thoughts, and other personal entries.
My Buddy is designed as a personal productivity tool. It is not a medical, legal, financial, emergency, or professional advice service.
2. Local-First Data
My Buddy is designed to keep your data on your device unless a feature clearly says otherwise.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups if you want to protect your data from device loss, app deletion, device reset, or other data loss events.
If the App offers export, import, backup, or sync features, those features are provided to help you manage your own data. We do not guarantee that every backup or restore operation will be error-free.
3. Reminders and Notifications
My Buddy can help you create reminders and local notifications. However, notification delivery may depend on your device settings, operating system behavior, permissions, battery settings, network conditions, and other factors outside our control.
We do not guarantee that reminders, notifications, voice input, location reminders, or other alerts will always be delivered at the exact time or place expected.
You remain responsible for important tasks, deadlines, appointments, medications, safety-related actions, and any other important obligations.
4. Location-Based Features
If you enable location-based reminders, My Buddy may use the locations or places you choose, such as Home or Work, to remind you when you leave or arrive at a place.
Location reminders may be delayed or unavailable depending on device permissions, GPS accuracy, operating system limits, battery optimization, or other technical factors.
My Buddy is not intended for tracking people, emergency location monitoring, or safety-critical use.
5. Voice Features
My Buddy may offer voice input features that convert your speech into text. Voice recognition accuracy may vary based on language, accent, background noise, device support, and operating system speech services.
You should review and edit recognized text before saving or creating a Buddy. My Buddy is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect voice recognition or text parsing.
6. Quick Info and Sensitive Information
My Buddy may allow you to save useful information such as Wi-Fi details, addresses, account notes, codes, or contact cards.
You should not store highly sensitive information such as passwords, OTPs, full payment card numbers, CVV codes, government identification details, or other information that could cause harm if accessed by someone else.
You are responsible for deciding what information you save in the App.
7. My Buddy Pro
My Buddy may offer a paid Pro version that unlocks additional features, higher limits, or unlimited usage.
Available plans may include:
- Yearly Pro: an auto-renewable yearly subscription.
- Lifetime Pro: a one-time purchase that unlocks eligible Pro features for the lifetime of the App, subject to these Terms.
Prices, available plans, and included features may vary by country, platform, promotion, or app version.
8. Subscriptions and Purchases
Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device.
If you purchase a yearly subscription, it will automatically renew unless canceled according to the rules of the store where you purchased it. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
Lifetime purchases are one-time purchases and do not automatically renew.
We may change Pro features, pricing, or availability in future versions. Any changes will follow applicable store rules and platform policies.
9. Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store where you made the purchase.
For App Store purchases, refund requests are handled by Apple. For Google Play purchases, refund requests are handled by Google Play.
We do not directly control store refund decisions.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse My Buddy, including but not limited to:
- attempting to reverse engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the App;
- using the App for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or misleading purposes;
- attempting to bypass Pro limits, purchase validation, or platform payment systems;
- using the App in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
11. User Content
You own the content you create and store in My Buddy, such as reminders, notes, item locations, quick info, photos, and contact cards.
You are responsible for the content you enter into the App. You agree not to store or share content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
12. App Availability and Changes
We may update, change, improve, remove, or discontinue parts of My Buddy at any time.
We aim to keep the App reliable and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every device or operating system version.
13. No Warranty
My Buddy is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, missed reminders, missed deadlines, lost profits, or other losses arising from your use of or inability to use My Buddy.

16. Third-Party Services
My Buddy may rely on third-party services for purchases, subscriptions, analytics, crash reporting, or platform features, such as App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or operating system services.
Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of My Buddy after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
