Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
TinyPOS is a simple, local-first POS app for small shops. This Privacy Policy explains how TinyPOS handles your data.
Short version
TinyPOS is designed to work without an account and without a server for its core POS features. Your products, sales, receipts, and shop settings are stored on your device unless you choose to share, export, print, or back up that information.
1. Who we are
TinyPOS is a mobile point-of-sale app created for small shops, kiosks, pop-up sellers, market stalls, and solo sellers.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at: hoa.buiduy@gmail.com
2. Data stored in TinyPOS
TinyPOS may store the following information locally on your device:
- Products, prices, product codes, categories, stock, and product photos you add
- Cart and checkout information
- Sales history, sale items, invoice numbers, receipts, discounts, taxes, and payment method labels
- Shop information such as shop name, address, phone number, currency, and receipt footer
- Receipt settings, printer settings, payment method settings, language, theme, and app preferences
- Backup files you create or restore
This data is used to provide the app’s POS features, including scanning products, checkout, receipt sharing, receipt printing, sales history, reports, and local backup/restore.
3. Local-first storage
TinyPOS stores your shop data on your device for core app features. We do not require you to create an account to use the app.
If you delete the app, clear app data, reset your device, or lose your device, your local TinyPOS data may be lost unless you have created a backup.
4. Sharing, exporting, printing, and backup
TinyPOS lets you choose when to share or export data. For example, you may:
- Share a receipt image
- Print a receipt using a printer
- Create a PDF receipt or report
- Export sales or reports
- Save or restore a backup copy of your shop data
When you use these features, your device may open the system share sheet, file picker, print dialog, or another app selected by you. The information you share or save will be handled by the apps or services you choose.
5. Camera permission
TinyPOS may request access to your camera so you can scan product QR codes and barcodes.
Camera access is used for scanning inside the app. TinyPOS does not use the camera for background recording. If you do not allow camera access, you can still enter product codes manually.
6. Photos permission
TinyPOS may request access to your photos or media library when you choose to add product photos or payment QR images.
TinyPOS only accesses photos you select. Product photos and payment QR images are stored locally for app features.
7. Bluetooth permission
TinyPOS may request Bluetooth permission when you connect to a Bluetooth thermal receipt printer.
Bluetooth access is used to find, connect, and send print commands to supported printers. TinyPOS does not require a printer to use core POS features.
8. Payment information
TinyPOS may let you record payment methods such as Cash, Card, Transfer, or QR Pay for your sales history and reports.
TinyPOS does not process card payments directly in its local-first POS features. If payment integrations are added in the future, those features may be subject to additional terms and the privacy practices of the payment provider.
9. Purchases and subscriptions
If TinyPOS offers paid features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases, those purchases may be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple or Google. Purchase processing is handled by the relevant app store provider.
10. Analytics and tracking
TinyPOS is designed to be local-first and privacy-friendly.
If the published version of TinyPOS does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools, then we do not collect analytics or tracking data. If this changes in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required store privacy information.
11. Third-party services
TinyPOS may rely on device or platform services to provide app features, such as:
- Camera access for QR/barcode scanning
- Photo picker for product photos or QR images
- System share sheet for sharing receipts, reports, or backup files
- System print features for PDF printing
- Bluetooth services for printer connection
- Apple App Store or Google Play for purchases, if paid features are offered
When you use third-party apps or platform services, their own privacy policies may apply.
12. Children’s privacy
TinyPOS is intended for business and shop management use. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Data security
TinyPOS stores app data locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for saving backup copies when needed.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we design TinyPOS to minimize unnecessary data collection and server dependency.
14. Your choices
You can control your data in TinyPOS by:
- Editing or deleting products
- Archiving products instead of permanently deleting them
- Creating and restoring backup copies
- Choosing whether to share receipts, reports, PDFs, or backup files
- Changing app permissions in your device settings
- Deleting the app and its local data from your device
15. Future cloud sync or server features
TinyPOS may offer optional cloud sync, online backup, multi-device sync, payment integrations, or server-based features in the future.
If those features are introduced, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain what data is collected, how it is used, and what choices you have.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
Your continued use of TinyPOS after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
