Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of TinyPOS, a local-first point-of-sale app for small shops.

Short version

TinyPOS is designed to help small shops manage products, sales, checkout, receipts, reports, printers, and local backups. You are responsible for your shop data, your device, your receipts, your tax/legal obligations, and how you use exported or shared information.

1. Agreement to these Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using TinyPOS, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These Terms apply to TinyPOS mobile apps, related features, and any supporting pages or services we provide for the app.

2. What TinyPOS does

TinyPOS is a mobile POS app designed for small shops, kiosks, pop-up sellers, market stalls, and solo sellers.

TinyPOS may include features such as:

  • Product management
  • QR code and barcode scanning
  • Cart and checkout
  • Sales history and sale details
  • Receipt preview, sharing, PDF export, and printing
  • Daily closing reports and cash count
  • Reports for sales, best sellers, low stock, and payment methods
  • Backup and restore of local shop data
  • Language, currency, appearance, payment method, and printer settings

3. Local-first app

TinyPOS is designed to work without an account and without a server for its core POS features. Your products, sales, receipts, reports, and settings are generally stored locally on your device.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for creating backup copies of your data. If you delete the app, clear app data, reset your device, or lose your device, your local data may be lost unless you have created a backup.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use TinyPOS and for the information you enter into the app.

You agree that you will:

  • Use TinyPOS only for lawful purposes
  • Enter accurate product, price, sales, tax, and payment information
  • Review receipts, reports, exports, and closing reports before relying on them
  • Comply with tax, accounting, invoicing, business, consumer protection, and recordkeeping laws that apply to you
  • Keep your device and backups secure
  • Use printer, sharing, PDF, export, and backup features responsibly

5. Not financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice

TinyPOS provides tools to record and organize shop sales information. TinyPOS does not provide financial, tax, legal, accounting, or business advice.

Reports, profit estimates, sales totals, cash counts, and exports are provided for convenience only. You should verify all information and consult qualified professionals when needed.

6. Receipts, reports, and exports

TinyPOS may let you create, share, export, print, or save receipts and reports. You are responsible for reviewing these documents before sending, printing, saving, or using them.

Receipt and report formats may not satisfy all legal or tax invoice requirements in every country or region. It is your responsibility to make sure your receipts and records comply with local requirements.

7. Product scanning and product codes

TinyPOS may let you scan or enter QR codes, barcodes, or product codes. You are responsible for verifying that scanned or entered codes match the correct product.

TinyPOS is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect product codes, duplicate codes, mislabeling, wrong prices, or user entry errors.

8. Payment methods

TinyPOS may allow you to mark sales as paid by methods such as Cash, Card, Transfer, QR Pay, or other local payment methods.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, TinyPOS does not process payments directly. Recording a payment method in TinyPOS does not guarantee that the payment was completed. You are responsible for confirming that you have actually received payment from your customer.

If payment integrations are added in the future, those integrations may be subject to additional terms from the payment provider.

9. Printer and device compatibility

TinyPOS may support receipt printing with compatible printers, including Bluetooth ESC/POS thermal printers.

Printer compatibility can vary by device, operating system, printer model, firmware, paper size, character set, and connection method. We do not guarantee that TinyPOS will work with every printer.

If a printer is not available or not supported, TinyPOS may provide PDF or sharing options as alternatives.

10. Backups and restore

TinyPOS may allow you to save and restore backup copies of your shop data. You are responsible for storing backup copies safely and verifying restored data.

Restoring a backup may replace the current data on your device. Please review any warning messages carefully before restoring.

Some files, such as product photos, may not always be included in all backup formats unless specifically supported.

11. Paid features and subscriptions

TinyPOS may offer optional paid features, subscriptions, or one-time purchases. These may include features such as unlimited products, advanced reports, product import, printing, PDF export, backup and restore, QR labels, or other Pro features.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the relevant app store. Subscription billing, cancellations, refunds, renewals, and payment management are handled according to the policies of the app store where you made the purchase.

A Lifetime or one-time purchase, if offered, applies only to the local/offline Pro features described in the app at the time of purchase. Cloud sync, server-based features, online backup, multi-device sync, or future services with ongoing server costs may require a separate plan in the future.

12. Refunds

Refund requests for purchases made through Apple or Google are generally handled by Apple App Store or Google Play according to their policies. We do not control app store refund decisions.

13. Privacy

Your use of TinyPOS is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You can read it here: TinyPOS Privacy Policy.

14. App permissions

TinyPOS may request access to certain device features only when needed for app functionality, such as:

  • Camera access for QR/barcode scanning
  • Photo access for product images or payment QR images you choose
  • Bluetooth access for supported printer connections

You can manage app permissions in your device settings.

15. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse TinyPOS. You must not:

  • Use the app for illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive activity
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute the app except where allowed by law
  • Use the app to violate the rights of others
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the app

16. Intellectual property

TinyPOS, including its design, branding, app interface, text, icons, and software, is owned by us or licensed to us. These Terms do not give you ownership of TinyPOS or any related intellectual property.

You retain responsibility for the shop data, product information, photos, and content that you add to the app.

17. Updates and changes

We may update TinyPOS from time to time to add, change, or remove features, fix bugs, improve performance, or comply with platform requirements.

Some features may change over time. We may also update these Terms when needed.

18. Disclaimers

TinyPOS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device or printer, or suitable for every business requirement.

You are responsible for verifying all sales, receipts, reports, backups, payment records, tax calculations, stock values, and business records before relying on them.

19. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, inaccurate records, printer failures, payment recording errors, or tax/accounting issues arising from your use of TinyPOS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

20. Termination

You may stop using TinyPOS at any time. You may delete the app from your device.

We may restrict access to future services or features if we believe the app is being misused or if required by law or platform rules.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the app operator is established, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

If you publish this page, you should update this section to reflect the correct legal entity and governing jurisdiction for your business.
